On the Mountain in Winter

Champéry is in the heart of the French-Swiss region of the Portes du Soleil. The cable car takes you directly up to 2200 metres to the region of the Portes du Soleil, which is the world’s largest linked International ski area. With 650 km of slopes to discover there is multitude of activities for the whole family, experts, intermediates and beginners. In the winter months there are activities such as skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, snow shoeing, hiking, sledding, cross- country and Nordic Skiing. Champéry is well known for the Swiss Wall ‘le Mur Suisse’ and has one of the biggest snow parks in Europe.

Champéry is a charming authentic village lined with traditional Swiss wooden chalets nestled in the magnificent backdrop of the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches mountain ranges. Champéry is situated at 1,050 meters and is one of Switzerland’s oldest and prettiest villages. Just 90 minutes from Geneva, makes Champéry the ideal location to discover the massive Portes du Soleil.

During the winter there are many après ski events happening in and around the village. There is a free navette bus which operates during the day around Champéry and Grand Paradis.
