How to Book

Please email or call us to allow us to answer your questions. To book please read all the terms and conditions, complete & sign the booking form and then send by fax, email and / or by post it to us. You may pay by credit or debit card, bank transfer, check or pay pal. On receipt of your booking form and acceptance of your booking you will receive your confirmation by email.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions relating to all bookings made with Alpine Descents for reservations at Chalet Les Cascades, Champéry. We recommend you read them carefully before filling in and signing the booking form. The contract is made at the time we accept your booking.

We will then send you an email to confirm your booking. Please check that all the information is correct and let us know immediately if you think there are any errors.

Payment

To confirm your booking a deposit of 10% of the total cost of the holiday is required. This is payable either by credit card or bank transfer at the time of the booking to secure your reservation. For bookings made less than 8 weeks from the arrival date the full amount of the holiday will be payable. The balance of the payment is due 8 weeks prior to your holiday commencement date. If the balance of the holiday has not been paid by this time, we have the right to cancel the booking and to retain the deposit. The lead person signing the booking form on Behalf of Others guarantees full payment of all party members listed and of any subsequent party members added to the booking.

Arrival and Departures

We can be flexible with regard to arrival and departure times. We welcome you in the chalet to store luggage and belongings securely no matter what time you arrive / depart. We will need you to vacate your room by 10am on your departure day. Early access to your room is often possible we cannot always allow access until late afternoon on your arrival day.

Rooms

As we have a responsibility to the environment, all linen and towels are provided on a weekly basis or for the duration of your stay unless specific arrangements are made with us.

Non Smoking Chalet

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the chalet. We do welcome smokers and ask that they smoke only outside.

Prices

All prices quoted are per person in CHF Swiss Francs and include accommodation in the room type as described, all meals as specified and local taxes and VAT.

Holiday prices for one week include the following: 7 x Breakfast, Afternoon Teas 6 x and 6 x Evening meals Accompanied by selected quality wines. The evening meal is served at 7.30pm each evening.

Discounts

Children

Under 2 - CHF 100 flat fee

Under 6 - 30% discount on adult cost

Under 12 - 20% discount on adult cost

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your booking, the lead name must advise us in writing by post or email. The date that you make the cancellation is the date we receive your written notice of cancellation. The following cancellation charges will apply and subject to any bank/credit card charges.

10 or more weeks prior to departure = 100% of your deposit

8 -6 weeks prior to departure = 50% of your total holiday cost

6 to 4 weeks prior to departure = 70% of your total holiday cost

3 weeks or less prior to departure = 100% of your total holiday cost

Change or Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event that we have to alter your holiday, we will let you know as soon as possible. You have the option to take any amended holiday offered by us or cancel your booking. If you cancel your holiday we will refund the amounts you have paid to us. If you accept a refund we will be under no further liability outside the holiday costs.

If, while on holiday you undertake any activities, which are illegal, rude, threatening and / or aggressive to our staff. Behave in a Way which in our view to disturb the environment of others. We reserve the right to terminate your holiday immediately. In this event you will receive no compensation nor will have any further obligation to you. If you cause any damage or breakage whilst on holiday you will be subject to limitation for these and you will be asked to pay for these before leaving the chalet.

Insurance

We strongly advice that you have insurance to cover the cost of cancellation, personal accident, personal property and personal public liability.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have a problem during your stay at the Chalet, you must bring it to the attention of either Matthew or Samantha Sheridan To ensure that we have the opportunity to rectify it. If you are not satisfied that the issue has been resolved, please submit the details in writing within 28 days of your return, to:  Chalet Les Cascades, Route de la Montau d’En Haut, 1874 Champery, Switzerland.
